“This is very much a landscape led proposal, the sensitivity of the site, its topography and personality determined the “scale and rhythm of the buildings” with the design of the spaces between, and the connections through the site informing the architectural response. This afforded the resulting apartments and terrace homes generous visual and physical amenity access to light and space, and connectivity to the wider street network and community. The proposed materiality is contextual, natural and appropriate, responding to the character and identity of Ivanhoe East.”
